Gary McKeating joined West Lakes Renaissance in February 2007 from Invest in Cumbria as Business Opportunities Manager for the Nuclear Opportunities Team. Gary is currently studying for an MSc in Local and Regional Economic Development through the Institute of Economic Development. In his spare time Gary is Chair of Governors at Beckstone Primary School.

Gary is responsible for managing the interface between Sellafield Limited /UKAEA and potential Tier 2 contractors in the delivery of socio-economic plans and subsequent benefit to the local economy. Gary is leading the team in the development and promotion of socio-economic criteria in tender evaluation. This involves providing advice to companies on the content and context of their socio-economic plans and monitoring progress on their delivery. Gary and colleague Jill Graham are responsible for managing West Lakes Renaissance's role in nuclear sector inward investment and aftercare.
