With a reputation as a world-class centre for nuclear, manufacturing and engineering technologies, West Cumbria is a fantastic place to do business.
This is why West Lakes Renaissance is working alongside partners to improve existing and create new employment sites across the sub region.
With an estimated annual investment of £1.2 billion a year by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority together with the regeneration of West Cumbria, it is easy to see why property investors, developers and managers are looking to settle.
The interest means that we must work hard to ensure that there are high quality business parks on offer to ensure that this interest is converted into real results.
West Cumbria boasts a wide range of industrial estates and business parks that cater for business ranging from land hungry manufacturing to small scale, specialist nuclear.
West Lakes Renaissance, together with the Northwest Regional Development Agency, the European Regional Development Fund; Copeland and Allerdale Borough Councils, Cumbria County Council, West Cumbria Development Agency; Northern Trust; and several local partnerships to improve and increase the employment site portfolio.
