Leconfield Industrial Estate - Cleator Moor

Leconfield Industrial Estate is undergoing a huge transformation.

Work being carried out includes the upgrading of roads, landscaping and infrastructure on the site. This will open up access on the estate to allow the redevelopment of its facilities.

Landscaping work includes improving lighting, signage and planting, while security for business based their will be enhanced.

The reputation of Leconfield as a place to do business continues to grow, with several companies locating there to take advantage of significant business opportunities in West Cumbria.

Work is expected to be completed in summer 2008.

The project is being led and part funded by West Lakes Renaissance, with funding also being provided by the Northwest Regional Development Agency, European Regional Development Fund and BNG Sellafield.
